They also have the power to enamor the reader with honest and vulnerable writing that exposes the most human feelings and thoughts. Kaur is not afraid to be exposed showing what is inside, people have welcomed this work precisely because of it.

The book is divided into four chapters, and each chapter deals with a different theme.
When he writes about love, we can perceive that it is a young love, passionate, idealistic, a love that was devastated by ruptures and disappointments, as usually happens at that stage of life.

The first and third chapter deal with issues that are a little darker but pertinent for being realistic and current as sexual and psychological violence come from the painful experience of the author in a very crude process for healing.

In subsequent chapters, he is able to write more gently, especially in chapter 4.
The art of the book is something to be recognized, the poems are quick to read. It is actually a very personal work of a girl narrating in the form of prose, how it feels to be loved, to be disappointed, to be strong, among others. They are written in a simple way although they address some of the more complex issues.
