Thought the narrator drolled on a little at times, probably because the book was chock full of facts and figures. Would have loved more of a storyline. Overall good though. Definitely interesting and would recommend.

What Happens in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince?
The Harry Potter series has kept readers intrigued for decades with fabulous stories like Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth book in the seven book series.
During the opening scene of the film, viewers see a Hogwarts professor, Severus Snape make an unbreakable vow in the protection of Draco Malfoy, one of Potter’s classmates and nemesis. Malfoy’s mother and aunt appear satisfied that Snape will take care of the boy while he is at Hogwarts, while his father is imprisoned due to illegal deeds in the previous installment.
While shopping for school supplies in the wizarding district, Potter and his friends notice some odd behavior from young Malfoy. The children get on the Hogwart’s Express, and arrive at the institution to discover that Professor Severus Snape will be serving as the Dark Arts teacher for the year, instead of his usual potions. When Harry and his best friend Ron arrive in their potions class, they grab at the last two books that are in the class cabinet. Although Ron appears to have the better quality book, the one Harry receives proves far more interesting.
The used copy of the potions book contains many suggestions on how to perform each potion perfectly. From how many drops of a liquid are ideal to the best way to extract ingredients, it is filled with useful information that quickly makes Harry shine out above his classmates. In the book, there is a notation that the book belongs to “The Half-Blood Prince.”
Although Ron and Hermione believe that Harry should return the textbook, the young wizard has no intention of doing so. Thanks to Ron’s older brothers, Harry has a map that allows him to see where everyone is on campus. He notices some strange behavior on the part of Draco Malfoy and attempts to investigate.
Dumbledore also takes Harry along on a quest in search of the missing Horcruxes that are a result of Voldemort splitting his soul. If these physical holders of his soul pieces can be destroyed, so can the Dark Lord. During one of their trips, Dumbledore becomes quite weak and Harry was scarcely able to return them safely to the tower at Hogwarts before Death Eaters appear.
Following Dumbledore’s explicit orders, Harry remained hidden during the encounter. While the orders from the Dark Lord were for Draco Malfoy to kill Dumbledore, thus securing his allegiance to Voldemort and the Death Eaters. However, Malfoy hesitated and Professor Snape took it upon himself to deal the lethal blow to the headmaster, who fell from the window at the top of the tower.
The Death Eaters take off, leaving Hogwarts in a state of shock and disarray. Harry chases after them, and throws a curse from the book at Snape. At this point, the professor reveals that he is the Half-Blood Prince and original owner of Harry’s potions book. The young wizard is left stunned and in pain, along with the rest of the students and staff of the school.
