Robert Galbraith: Career of Evil Audio Book Summary

Career of Evil is book number three of Cormoran Series, that is composed by The Cuckoo’s Calling, The Silkworm and Career of evil, all written by Robert Galbraith, or by J.K Rowling that writes under that pseudonym. Joanne Rowling is the author known for her acclaimed Harry Potter books that sold more than 450 million copies.
download-robert-galbraith-career-of-evil-audiobookCormoran Series is a saga of mystery thriller, moves away from the fantastic style that characterized it in Harry Potter and finds a new narrative voice worthy of being recognized within that genre.
Robin, the main character, is about to marry his fiance Matthew. On the eve of her wedding preparations, she receives a mysterious package containing a woman’s leg. Detective Cormoran Strike suspects four characters who may have had reason to send them such a peculiar gift, of course, attributes it as something personal to him.
Among the list of suspects are the characters Whittaker, Laing and Brockbank, each as cruel and brutal as the other. The book unfolds as the investigation of each of the main suspects is carried out and the real murderer will fall.
Shanker, the eccentric friend of Cormoran, is a character that adds to the history with an entertaining participation, nevertheless, in this novel, is the time to shine of Robin Ellacott.
She appears as a professional in the exercise of her professional activity, however, because she is involved in a more personal way in this new case, she is in a state of general stress, shows vulnerability and fragility but also a great tenacity to give Once and for all with the culprit and end all that plot.
The traumatic past of Robin never before told comes to light, adding more and more depth to the construction of the character.
An interesting aspect of the book is the team that form Robin and Strike, having a bidirectional dynamic with touches of sexual tension and stress that keep the reader as engrossed with what happens between them as with regard to the murder case.
Another point to consider is that it shows a bit of the killer’s perspective, through his deepest and darkest thoughts, allowing us to enter a bit into the psyche of a ruthless killer.

The end is something to recognize, has a turn of those unexpected that leave the reader perplexed.
It is a book that achieves a surprising level of constant tension, which keeps the reader in a state of intrigue before the question about the identity of the murderer.
It inevitably leads to speculation and is waiting to find out if our suspicions were true, in the end find ourselves before the unexpected in a story of real suspense.
